Speed Dating

Want to try your chance at love? Or at least maybe meet a few new friends? Speed Dating, entering its fifth appearance, has been a successful event for males and females who participate. The basis of the event is impressing the opposite sex within the time frame, then the men move on to the next female (the ladies remained seated the entire event). Each meet and greet will be three minutes, then the host will announce it is time for the men to move on to the next female. Rounds last based on number of participants, which has been anywhere from 25-40. During the event, each participant has a name badge with their name and a number. When entering the event, each person is given a "match card" that they will note if they were interested in the person, and whether they felt they were polite. At end of the rounds (when each participant has meet everyone), the "match cards" will be collected and tallied to find who the King and Queen of Speed Dating are. During this portion, the participants are able to walk around and mingle, while enjoying complimentary food and drinks. After the King and Queen are announced, the event is over and participants are welcome to leave or hang out for awhile and listen to music.

Program Council assistants will then tally the results for each participant, to send emails to every participant telling them if they had any matches. Matches are only determined if BOTH male and female circle they were interested in one another. Only contact information released is email, additional contact is up to the participants to discuss.
